The Lake District has probably felt quite different with the Bluedird K7 Festival. What a time to visit. When you go back to the narrow boat does that feel like going home?
We had no idea it was on until got here, but the atmosphere is great and there's such a huge amount of interest in seeing K7 on the water again. Going back to the boat definitely feels like going home and now we've based ourselves in a marina because we also have the van, we've got a secure base to travel from on either one. The van feels like home too 🙂
It seems odd to think we're finally becoming who we truly are at this point and our lives Leanne, but I totally agree with you. I genuinely had no idea this would be the biggest joy of getting older! It's our 40th wedding anniversary later this year and we were talking about celebrating it with some big trip or other, but why would we do that? Why not just do the simple things we love doing? No bucket list for me, just take each day/week as it comes 🙂
Making choices.......and you are so much wiser for this now. Loved reading (and viewing) the wonders that you found. Thank you not only for sharing but also how your changing patterns around living life NOW. Go girl! Denyse x
Thank you Denyse. Changing patterns takes daily 'work' doesn't it, not to fall into old ways of being, bit it's so worth it. Always appreciate your support 😘
Hi Karen - I know exactly what you mean about that list of previous behaviours and how nice it is to let them go - it takes time, but I feel like I'm finally becoming "me" and I refuse to feel the guilt that I would previously have carried over changing my priorities.
Good on you for making the call to change your plans and to be able to bask in all that beauty - I've decided that life is definitely more about the journey, and not about how many things we tick off our bucket list, or how much we've pushed through. Here's to pleasant amblings... :)

Sounds like the best of both worlds.

Ah I love that the Lake District was just the tonic you needed. It looked glorious and very colourful x
Thanks Holly, it's so beautiful here at the minute x
